The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is a popular mid-tier choice for travelers. At a $95 annual fee, it doesn’t carry the sticker shock of premium credit cards.
Currently, new Venture Rewards cardholders can earn 75,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening. Plus, they’ll also receive a $300 credit for Capital One Travel hotel and vacation rentals upon account opening.

How common is the current offer on the Venture Rewards?
The Venture Rewards has offered a Capital One Travel credit three times in the past two years (offers no longer available), not including the current offer.
The welcome bonus available on the Venture Rewards right now is the first time we’ve seen a $300 credit; previously, it was $250.
However, this is the first time the credit has been restricted to hotels and vacation rentals; the past credits could also be used for flights, rental cars and activities.

So, the verdict: This style of welcome offer is common on the Venture Rewards, but it’s the first time we’ve seen a $300 Capital One Travel stays credit offered. 75,000 bonus miles is the standard mile offer on this card.
How much are 75,000 Capital One miles plus a $300 Capital One Travel credit worth?
According to TPG’s September 2026 valuations, Capital One miles are worth 1.85 cents per mile. When including the stays credit, the total value of this welcome bonus comes to $1,688. That makes this offer among the most valuable we’ve seen, and the highest in the past couple of years (outside of the 100,000-mile targeted offer mentioned above).
While the value of the Capital One Travel stays credit is fixed, what you get from your miles will vary depending on how you redeem them. We always recommend transferring your miles to Capital One’s 15-plus transfer partners, since that will give you the most bang for your mile.
Standout partners include Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France-KLM Flying Blue and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer.
The caveat with the Capital One Travel credit is that it can only be used on hotel and vacation rental bookings, which is more limiting than we’ve seen with previous welcome bonuses. The credit should still be easy enough to maximize, but keep in mind that you need to use it within your first year as a cardholder.
So, is the Venture Rewards’ 75,000-mile bonus and its $300 Capital One Travel credit one of the best deals ever?
I wouldn’t call this one of the best-ever credit card bonuses, since we’ve seen welcome offers that provide substantially more value. The limited flexibility of the Capital One Travel credit may also be a major detractor for some.
That said, this is still an excellent welcome offer for the Venture Rewards. We haven’t seen a miles offer higher than 75,000 for this card in a couple of years, so it’s fair to say it isn’t worth waiting for one at this time.
The $300 Capital One Travel stays credit is the highest such credit we’ve ever seen on this card. If you are happy to book an issuer portal or don’t mind making an exception for this offer, you’ll be able to save a good chunk of cash on a hotel or vacation rental.
Beyond using your Capital One Travel credit, you’ll enjoy 5 miles per dollar spent on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. You’ll also earn 2 miles per dollar spent on everything else, making this a great choice for everyday spending or general travel purchases.
Bottom line
If you’ve had the Venture Rewards on your radar, now is the best time to apply. You’ll receive a $300 Capital One Travel stays credit immediately upon account approval, plus the chance to earn 75,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.
This is the most valuable welcome offer we’ve seen since 2024, and the best public offer available ever. Just remember that the Capital One Travel credit is only usable on hotel and vacation rental bookings, and that you must use it within the first cardholder year.
