At SIAL Paris 2026, the India Trade Promotion Organisation put sustainable agriculture, women’s empowerment and a changing relationship with Europe at the heart of India’s food story.

There are almost 5,000 fishermen and one not-for-profit foundation behind Spanish sustainable fashion brand Ecoalf. Every day, the fishermen recover waste caught in their nets, while the Ecoalf Foundation has developed a system to give that waste a second life, turning it into raw material, ultimately, fabric.

Chief of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Mark Rutte, warned that the framework under which the alliance of 32 countries operates is “not sustainable”.
