Polls opened Sunday in Bosnia’s general election, where some 3.4 million voters are choosing the three members of the multi-ethnic presidency, national lawmakers, and leaders of the country’s two entities: the Muslim-majority Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska.

Bosnians are heading to the polls to choose the next government at all three of the state, entity and canton levels. It may seem complicated, but for a country divided into two entities – the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, along with Brcko District – this is nothing new.
