Dubrovnik welcomes more than a million visitors a year. Join Lilly Douse as she explores its historic Old Town, tries traditional Croatian cooking, and heads out onto the Adriatic Sea.

Her journey begins in the heart of the Old Town, where she joins the CEO of Rewind Croatia to explore Dubrovnik’s cobbled streets and uncover the stories behind its medieval defensive walls. The Old Town has been a UNESCO-World Heratige site since 1979. Along the way, she learns how Dubrovnik became one of the Adriatic’s most important trading centres.

Leaving the historic centre behind, Lilly joins X-adventure for a kayaking trip along the coast, taking in views of the fortified walls from the water. Stretching for almost two kilometers, the walls include five fortresses and 16 towers.

She then takes a boat trip to the island of Lopud, one of three inhabited Elaphiti Islands of the coast of Dubrovnik, before exploring the city’s famous Blue Caves, and stopping for a swim in the Adriatic.

At Restaurant Konoba Pjatanca, Lilly learns how to prepare a traditional peka, a slow-cooked dish prepared beneath a bell-shaped iron lid. She joins in the cooking and learn about this Croatian tradition.

During her time in Dubrovnik, Lilly stays at theHilton Imperial Dubrovnik, a historic five-star hotel just outside the historic city centre. Its building dates back to 1897 and is a short walk from the gates of the Old Town.

To end her trip on a high note, Lilly takes on an exhilarating zipline adventure with Panorama Zip Line Dubrovnik. Set on Mount Srđ, the course has two line, each 250 meters long. Despite being afraid of heights, Lilly embraces the challenge, and enjoys the views across the city and coastline.
